A Little About Metal Detector Club…….

Thanks for visiting our site. My name is “Pop” and I am the founder of Metal Detector Club.  I purchased my first metal detector about 45 years ago.  Yes, I’m older than dirt. I am retired and now have the time to do what I love to do. (Bass Fishing – Metal Detecting & Magnet Fishing).

I started this site in late Feb., 2018. My goals are to help others in this great hobby and provide a place where every one can comment, ask questions, add your favorite tips, reviews, finds and etc.

I hope you will  Sign-Up For Our Newsletter.  Don’t worry, I will never share or sell your info. to anyone.

Please check out our advertisers who help sponsor our club. I know they will appreciate it and I will too.

Send me pictures ( [email protected]) of your finds and the story behind them and I will share them with our members and give you credit.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Good detecting,

I’ve only had my metal detector for two years and mostly have coins and mismatched earrings in my collection of finds. But how cool would it be to find something like an ancient Viking helmet or some weapon! I’ve read online that some guys even find buried treasures so it is a possibility.

Can you’re ommend a good place to purchase a used detector that works well on the beach? I’m just starting to learn and am interested in this as a hobby but want to be sure it’s a good fit before I purchase a new metal detector.

There are some used detectors usually on Craigslist. You can get a Bounty Hunter TK4 Tracker IV Metal Detector at Amazon for less than $100 and it has a 5 year warranty. It does well on beaches. If you buy used, try and get the original receipt for the detector as mfgs. won’t honor warranty without the original sales receipt. Yard sales and flea markets are good places to find them and usually at rock bottom prices. Let me know what you end up getting.
